Team Overview

Being a member of the Marketplace Team involves playing a crucial role in the essential aspect of the business: maintaining a balance between supply and demand. The responsibility of our Marketplace team is to engage and retain both our drivers and passengers while efficiently allocating resources to ensure a positive experience for passengers using our app. This position will involve gaining a thorough understanding of the ride-hailing industry, including driver perspectives, pricing strategies, market dynamics, and competition. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be capable of providing data-driven solutions, demonstrate effective prioritization abilities, and excel in task execution. Moreover, this role will require leadership in managing projects and initiatives that demand a diverse skill set.

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Ownership of strategies to improve driver and pax engagement, loyalty and retention.
  • Create new initiatives to efficiently balance our marketplace.
  • Constant data analysis to understand day-to-day behavior of our drivers and our competition
  • Optimize the efficiency KPIs through operation tools and programs based on the robust data analysis
  • Develop analysis frameworks and scalable tools to optimize the markets
  • Collaborate with several supporting areas like marketing, product, and user research to place the user’s experience at the core of the driver experience.

Role Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data analytics, business consulting, investment banking or operations management experience.
  • Data science, engineering, economics or other analytically-focused academic background. All backgrounds are welcome if you see yourself suitable in a highly analytic environment
  • Experience with data-based decision-making, exercising good judgment in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team. Previous professional experience in analytical or operational roles is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel is a must
  • Demonstrated experience using programming languages or tools for data extraction and analysis such as SQL (a must), Python, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Great attitude and hands-on approach
  • Proven to be self-motivated, self-directed and eager to take ownership of tasks
  • Proficiency in English & Spanish
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, hands-on and strong teamwork mindset. Self-motivation with a strong affinity for problem solving, driving action, and strong project ownership.
