Team Overview

The SSL Procurement BP, within the International Business Group (IBG) Procurement Organization reports to the Regional SSL Procurement Lead and is responsible for the strategy definition and execution of the assigned categories within SSL Procurement working alongside with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve best in class services and strategic objectives. This role will develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and contract management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base.

 

This role will develop category strategies and plans for the region with stakeholders and make sure the plans support DiDi’s business strategy. It will have high visibility across all the company’s areas and internal stakeholders and will support users to ensure adherence to DiDi’s Procurement Policy and processes.

 

 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must to establish and maintain positive business relationships with users and suppliers. Analytical and organization skills are required as this position will manage several simultaneous projects from diverse stakeholders, countries, markets and categories of spend.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assess the supply market regionally designing solutions that attend global standards
  • Develop category strategies/plans for the region
  • Understand the market, the suppliers, technologies, pricing, processes and future developments and ensure upper quartile performance
  • Understand what Company is buying and how much of it. Understand why Company is buying and what can be done to reduce the spend
  • Reduce regional costs by changing specifications, processes, supply chains, supplier performance and innovation
  • Seek for spend consolidation within the region
  • Use a common sourcing process established by the regional Procurement policy
  • Execute regional sourcing processes
  • Prepare presentations and analysis for reporting on Procurement performance in global/regional/local meetings

Role Qualifications

  • Graduated Business, Administration, Commerce, Economics or Engineering degrees
  • Proven credentials in Procurement processes (strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, TCO decisions) on a regional/multi-countries level
  • Excellent written/verbal communication
  • Quantitative and analytic profile
  • Strong sense of ethics and compliance
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Fluent English and Spanish. Portuguese or Chinese desirable.
  • Advanced MS/Office components (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Desirable experience managing at least one of Indirect Procurement Categories
  • Desirable consulting background
