Reporting to the Head of Legal for the ANZ and Middle East, you will provide timely and commercially-focused advice to the company on a wide range of legal issues relating to the business in these regions.
• Coordinating and working closely with business departments including product, marketing, finance, HR, Ops, procurement, PR and government affairs in all legal matters including regulatory compliance, contracts and data security/privacy.
• Supporting the International Legal team on domestic and international issues.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, internal reports and policies, regulatory filings, etc. and where necessary work with outside counsel.
• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from an accredited, well-recognized university, and be a current registered practising attorney in Egypt and/or Singapore
• 5+ years first tier local or international law firm experience, or in-house experience in leading tech/internet companies, or background in technology law
• Regulatory advisory background and overall broad legal knowledge covering areas such as corporate law, commercial transactions, employment law, data privacy or litigation
• Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and provide practical, business-friendly advice to internal clients
• Fluent in English and ideally Arabic (verbal and written).
