Team Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Business Partner to join our team at a leading fintech business line in Mexico. In this role, you will work closely with senior executives, handling financial budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting. Role Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will:

    • Developing and Managing Financial Budgets:

      • Create and oversee the implementation of annual financial budgets.
      • Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
    • Preparing Rolling Forecasts:

      • Update rolling forecasts to reflect changes in the business environment.
      • Identify and analyze variances, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
    • Tracking Financial Targets:

      • Establish financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives.
      • Monitor progress against targets and prepare regular reports for management.
    • Supporting Senior Management:

      • Collaborate with senior executives to develop and communicate the financial business plan.
      • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
    • Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams:

      • Work closely with various departments, including operations, sales, and marketing, to gather financial data and support their financial needs.
      • Provide financial guidance and support to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Conducting Financial Analysis:

      • Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
      • Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Driving Process Improvement:

      • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting.
      • Leverage technology and best practices to streamline financial processes.
    • Communicating Financial Performance:

      • Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and dashboards to stakeholders.
      • Clearly communicate financial performance, trends, and projections to various audiences.

Role Qualifications

  • Years of Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a financial institution or fintech.
  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Hard Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
    • Deep understanding of Mexican financial regulations and CNBV requirements.
    • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Industry Experience:

    • Experience working in the financial sector, particularly within a fintech or similar financial institutions.
  • Additional Skills:

    • Experience with financial modeling and strategic planning.
    • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
  • Spoken Languages:

    • Fluency in Spanish and English.
