Team Overview

The Risk Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining risk management policies and procedures. This role will involve preparing risk reports, monitoring risk-related metrics, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Risk Policy and Procedures Design:
    • Developing and implementing comprehensive risk management policies and procedures.
    • Ensuring policies are in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
    • Continuously reviewing and updating risk management frameworks to address emerging risks.
  • Risk Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Preparing detailed risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
    • Monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs) and metrics to identify potential risks.
    • Conducting regular risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate the impact of various scenarios on the business.
  • Risk Mitigation and Control:
    • Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks across the organization.
    • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
    • Collaborating with various departments to ensure effective risk controls are in place.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Communicating with regulatory authorities and ensure timely submission of required reports.
    • Staying updated on regulatory changes and their impact on the business.

Role Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., FRM, PRM) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry, preferably in a SOFIPO or similar entity.
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver comprehensive risk reports.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
