Team Overview

Legal Counsel – Contracts, Partnerships, and Innovation

We are seeking a dynamic and business-oriented Corporate Counsel with a passion for technology and innovative ideas that have the potential to transform industries and impact society. The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of contracts and providing legal assessments, managing strategic partnerships and addressing corporate legal matters, with a focus on results. They will excel in collaboration, working across teams with diverse backgrounds to enable successful outcomes for internal clients and company projects. 

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, partnerships, vendor relationships, licensing, technology services, and other corporate transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to internal stakeholders on corporate governance, business partnerships, and risk management in support of innovative and transformative projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, business development and procurement areas to ensure alignment between business objectives and legal strategies, while ensuring compliance .
  • Identify and address legal issues that could impact the company’s ability to execute strategic initiatives, enabling swift and informed decision-making.
  • Be a key partner to internal clients by providing practical, business-focused legal advice that drives results, fosters growth, and minimizes legal exposure.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive working environment, building strong relationships across diverse teams and leveraging legal expertise to support business objectives.

Role Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
  • 5+ years of experience as a legal counsel in law firms or in-house legal role with a focus on contracts, partnerships, and corporate matters.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law and business partnerships.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams and backgrounds.
  • Business-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation, technology, and projects that make a meaningful impact on society.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide practical, actionable legal advice that supports business success.
