Team Overview

The role will be responsible for providing legal support to the ride-hailing  team in Mexico and other SSL countries, mainly to the Driver Operations and Vehicle Solutions teams. This position aims to provide legal solutions on a variety of topics, with a special focus on contracts, regulatory compliance  and general corporate matters. The position would be based in Mexico City and will report to DiDi Sr. Legal Counsel in Mexico.

Role Responsibilities

  • Acting as one of the focal points for DiDi operations, working closely with local teams to achieve business goals, while reducing legal risks.

  • Supportin the business on the negotiation, drafting and approval of commercial agreements, as well as T&C’s for promotion campaigns.

  • Staying updated on developments in regulations affecting the ride-hailing industry (e.g., licensing, fare regulation, labor laws, consumer protection).

  • Reviewing SoP’s and protocols regarding the different needs of legal services.

  • Working in collaboration with the Ops and Product teams to ensure that new business, products and features are conducted in accordance with the applicable legal framework.

Role Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal experience, with a strong background on contract law and corporate matters 

  • Law degree from a Mexican university

  • Experience in commercial transactions and ability to provide advice on different type agreements 

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Fluency in English

  • Experience in Transportation and/or Tech industries is a plus.
