Team Overview

99/DiDi’s International Government Affairs Team is responsible for collaborating closely with key policymakers, regulators and external stakeholders to build a policy environment that supports the needs of our partners and our business. As the world’s leading mobility and convenience platform, with upwards of 50 million trips and deliveries happening on our platform every day, DiDi helps more than 550 million people around the world get where they’re going, and the things that they need. That means providing services for millions of people around the world that are environmentally friendly and safe, while providing opportunities for millions in need of flexible earnings, with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion and the best possible earnings and benefits. The discussion on policy and regulation for urban mobility and convenience has never been more important. The international policy team will play a pivotal role in developing and driving a more informed and thoughtful discussion on relevant policies in this area.


We are looking for a qualified professional to join our Government Relations team, with a focus on community engagement. This person will be responsible for developing and executing relationship strategies with driver partners, ensuring open, transparent, and productive communication.


In addition to engaging with drivers, this professional will play a strategic role in building partnerships with government agencies and nonprofit organizations, focusing on sustainability and social responsibility initiatives related to urban mobility.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engagement strategies with driver partners, strengthening communication and collaboration.

• Create and execute an action plan to enhance the relationship between the company and its driver base.

• Monitor the regulatory and political environment, identifying risks and opportunities that may impact 99 and its partners.

• Represent the company in meetings, events, and public forums, advocating for our interests and values.

• Collaborate with Public Policy, Operations, and Communications teams to ensure consistency in the company’s approach.

• Build strategic partnerships with government stakeholders and nonprofit organizations to support initiatives for driver partners.

• Develop and coordinate projects focused on sustainability and social impact in partnership with governments and civil society organizations.

Role Qualifications

• Proven experience in government relations, public policy, or related fields.

• Experience in community engagement, preferably with drivers, gig workers, or similar groups.

• Experience in developing partnerships with governments and nonprofit organizations for social impact and/or sustainability projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Strong analytical and strategic skills to anticipate challenges and propose effective solutions.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships.

• Availability for travel as needed.

 


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the technology, mobility, or sharing economy sectors.

• Knowledge of ride-hailing and delivery regulation and public policies related to the industry.
