About the internship:
As Public Policy Intern, you will work on different subject matters around DiDi’s policy priorities, including urban mobility, regulation, and the future of work. The geographic scope of the role covers DiDi’s international business across Latin America, Egypt and ANZ.
Working as part of the Central External Affairs team, you will support our regional Government Affairs and Communications colleagues with materials and advice - including policy notes, talking points, and leave-behinds.
You will track the international debates and developments on key topics; research policy trends; and develop arguments and evidence to support DiDi advocacy.

DiDi’s International External Affairs Team is responsible for collaborating closely with key policymakers, regulators, media and external stakeholders to build a policy environment that supports the needs of our partners and our business.

Researching policy trends for international benchmarks and regulations in different countries including countries where we do not operate.
Investigating and employing publicly available data to support talking points and advocacy arguments.
Organizing, visualizing and presenting internal data so that local teams can use it in a more effective way, including data-analysis from internal or external surveys.
Preparing policy notes on latest regulatory news to send to the wider EA team.
Developing presentations to visualize in an innovative way DiDi’s policy positions and investigation results.
Providing support in developing effective infrastructure and processes for the EA team.
Student of Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Social Science or related topics.
Minimum 1 year till graduation, max. 1.5 years till graduation.
Knowledge in data analysis and statistical programs (desirable)
Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently
Strong capabilities in literature research, strong writing and communication skills
Strong interest in topics related to the digital economy, technology access or gig economy.
Good self driving ability and an organized workflow or task planner.
Previous experience in Tech company or Policy desirable
