Team Overview

You’ll join the ​99 Food Business Data Science & Business Analytics Team—a dynamic group serving as a strategic partner to our Food Operations division. Our team specializes in driving B-side merchant supply chain excellence, with deep focus on critical areas like restaurant acquisition, operational optimization, store lifecycle management, and service commitment enforcement.

In this role, you won’t just analyze data—you’ll shape merchant success stories, influence operational roadmaps, and contribute to building a seamless, scalable supply ecosystem that connects restaurants, users, and our platform.

Role Responsibilities

Data-Driven Business Decision Making



  1. Deeply analyze core trading metrics (e.g., order volume, GMV, user conversion rate, subsidy ROI) to identify growth opportunities and potential risks, providing data-driven insights to optimize operational strategies.

  2. Build data monitoring frameworks for trading scenarios, design key business dashboards, and proactively detect/resolve abnormal fluctuations with actionable solutions.

  3. Derive business insights from user behavior, merchant operations, and market competition data, driving efficiency improvements and innovation in trading models.

  4. Decompose company strategic goals into actionable metrics, ensuring seamless execution of business initiatives and target achievement.

  5. Evaluate the impact of business activities from a holistic perspective, informing resource allocation and strategic decision-making.


Business Acumen & Strategic Support



  1. Optimize trading strategies (e.g., user/merchant lifecycle management, subsidy pricing, pricing mechanisms) via A/B testing, causal inference, and hierarchical analysis.

  2. Collaborate with product, operations, and marketing teams to design, execute, and quantify the impact of trading experiments (e.g., promotions, membership system upgrades).

  3. Research industry trends and competitor dynamics, producing specialized reports to support corporate strategy, resource allocation, and global expansion planning.


Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Global Expansion Support



  1. Partner with product, operations, and tech teams to productize data/analytics tools, enhancing operational efficiency.

  2. Lead analysis of international market trading data, collaborate with different teams (via full English/Portuguese meetings/reports), and support Brazil-focused expansion initiatives.

Role Qualifications


  1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.

  2. 3+ years of experience in data analytics within the internet industry, with a track record in e-commerce/trading analytics (preferred).

  3. Expertise in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools; hands-on experience with machine learning models (a plus).

  4. Fluent in Englishand Portuguese (required for international communication), with the ability to independently draft English/Portuguese reports and lead cross-border collaborations. 

  5. Strong business acumen: Understand internet trading logic, quickly pinpoint operational issues, and propose data-backed solutions.

  6. Structured problem-solving skills: Break down complex problems, present logical reasoning, and deliver clear insights.

  7. High adaptability: Thrive in fast-paced environments, supporting multi-departmental projects with efficiency.
