Team Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager of tax to oversee the Tax Advisory functions for our LATAM operations (excluding Brazil), based out of our Mexico City office. You will report to the Head of Tax in Mexico City / Latam.

You are a curious self-starter who can collaborate effectively both within Tax/legal and with cross-functional partners. You possess 12+ years of relevant experience in Mexico tax advisory / planning functions, as well as experience managing regional tax advisory, relationships with tax authorities, and leading teams.

You have a hands-on mentality that balances with a strategic vision for the function. You are eager to make an immediate impact on the team and are constantly looking for ways to improve routines. Role Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will be managing and overseeing ongoing advisory tax and TP requirements related to direct, indirect, and/or digital service taxation in the LATAM region (including Mexico, Ecuador, Dominican Rep and Panama, among others), as well as providing regional tax controversy, planning and new business launches support.


Your day-to-day activities will include:



  • The primary objective is to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance, adherence to tax laws and regulations, and successful execution of tax projects.

  • Provide Tax Advisory ans support related to our local operations and productions on cross-border transactions, double taxation treaty application, VAT refunds, among others

  • Oversee the application, compliance, monetization, and reporting processes to claim Production Incentives in the region

  • Strategically driving ad-hoc projects such as creation of new legal entities, application to specific tax programs, launch of new business lines, process improvements, restructures, electronic invoicing changes, etc.

  • Evaluation of tax risks that could affect every geography.

  • Monitor tax law changes or new business requirements.

  • Address and manage tax audits queries and report findings in collaboration with the service provider.

  • Follow up with Transfer Pricing advisors of the main intercompany transactions and preparation of the TP study

  • To lead the tax team in potential M&A transactions across every business.

Role Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Legal or equivalent

  • Preferable previous experience managing tax projects in the Digital Services Industry / Financial in Mexico

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex business situations and propose potential solutions.

  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and other soft skills.

    • Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive tax information.

    • Ability to adapt to changing tax regulation environments and implement necessary adjustments.

    • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving common objectives.
