Team Overview

Being part of the Categories team will give you the unique opportunity to help drive growth in one of the fastest-growing companies in the world. This data-driven role calls for a strong user-centric mindset, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to interact with our community of users and partners (drivers/delivery partners). You will have the opportunity to work in an agile, high-impact team where you will design, build, launch and operate multiple products of DiDi's business in Mexico and LATAM. 

 

The Strategy and Operations senior Analyst role is crucial for supporting our continuous expansion and sustainability of new DiDi product offerings in the mobility industry; our ideal candidate should have strong data extraction (SQL) skills, be knowledgeable and comfortable with forecasting and relevant tools/skills (Python and its libraries, i.e. prophet and others) the ability of transforming raw data into actionable insights and perform deep analysis to find opportunities to optimize resources, always looking to improve our core metrics and most importantly, DiDi user's experience. 

 

You will be constantly building and iterating scalable solutions to our user's pain points while overseeing the growth of our multiple products across the region. Your drive, insights and talent will directly contribute to DiDi's growth in LATAM!

Role Responsibilities

As part of the team you’ll play a key role in shaping and running our core strategy across multiple cities, regions and products; considering local market conditions and challenges to drive results in an efficient, scalable manner. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for solving complex operational challenges. 

 

You will design and execute initiatives to improve key results, and improve user experience in Spanish-speaking LATAM markets; leveraging data to guide decisions and maximize efficiency by overseeing daily operations while also coordinating the rollout of product launches and incentive programs with key internal and external stakeholders.

 

You'll convert raw databases into opportunities, using visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R, and Python;  defining and analyzing data dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities for growth or optimization.

 

Build and maintain detailed reporting models, including core OKRs and operational funnels, to assist in city-level and regional market consolidation efforts. 

 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, business intelligence, etc.) to adapt and improve offerings based on operational needs and market dynamics. 

 

Navigate ambiguous and complex problems with creativity, agility, and critical thinking.

 

Document best practices to ensure consistency and promote continuous improvement cycles within the business unit.

 

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating effectively in both English and Spanish.

Role Qualifications

Education

Strong academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

 

Experience

At least 2-4 years of professional experience in operations, growth, project management, or similar roles, preferably in tech-driven environments. 

 


Storytelling Skills

Proven ability to get through the noise and focus on what is really impactful, being able to summarize heaps of data into key insights that inform, motivate and influence decisions and transform them into agreed upon actions.


 

Analytical Skills

A data-first mindset, with a strong interest in analytics. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel/Google Sheets, and data visualization platforms. 

 

Problem-Solving

Demonstrated aptitude for analytical and conceptual problem-solving. Ability to deal with ambiguity and take calculated risks with innovative methods when needed. 

 

Communication Skills

Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse teams and stakeholders across different geographies and cultures.

 

Management Skills

Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of taking ownership and following through on complex tasks in a timely manner, being able to track performance across multiple markets and prioritize based on impact.

 

Ownership Mindset

A proactive and self-directed attitude, with a strong desire to learn and a focus on feedback culture.
