We believe in technology that connects talented people who embrace diversity to create and share paths we don't even know about (yet!). We work to generate value not only for our users but, above all, for the communities we serve and for society as a whole, making every day better for everyone with mobility and delivery services (99) or digital payments (99Pay).

To make life easier for millions of people every day, since 2018, we have been part of DiDi DiDi Global Inc., the world’s leading mobility technology platform. We are pioneers in creating innovative solutions that start in Brazil and scale up to make a positive impact in more than 12 countries where DiDi operates. This innovation encompasses sustainability, safety, artificial intelligence, financial markets, and much more.

Whether building projects from scratch or improving our solutions, we enjoy challenges that give us butterflies, which is why we work at a fast pace with respect, collaboration, and good humor. Along this journey, we also draw strength from diverse experiences and opinions to grow together, fail quickly, learn, and adjust the course to create solutions that deliver even better results.

Team Overview

We are looking for a proactive and strategically minded attorney to join our team in the area of Regulatory Public Law. This professional will be responsible for providing legal counsel on matters related to sectoral regulation, administrative law, and interactions with public administration bodies and regulatory agencies. Key responsibilities include monitoring regulatory processes, analyzing and interpreting legal and regulatory frameworks, drafting legal opinions, and supporting business areas in ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a highly collaborative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic environments where regulatory expertise plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory standards.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and strategic guidance on a broad range of public and regulatory law matters, including administrative procedures, sector-specific regulations, and interactions with public authorities and regulatory agencies.

  • Support institutional relations and represent the company in regulatory proceedings and engagements with government entities.

  • Assess and mitigate legal and regulatory risks related to the company’s operations and strategic initiatives.

  • Monitor and coordinate the work of external law firms handling regulatory and administrative matters.

  • Stay up to date on regulatory developments, legislative changes, and administrative rulings to implement best practices and ensure proactive compliance.

  • Train and advise internal stakeholders on key regulatory topics, legal obligations, and compliance strategies.

  • Contribute to building a culture of integrity, transparency, and compliance that supports sustainable business growth and alignment with public law requirements.

Role Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited university and active bar membership (OAB).

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in public law and regulatory matters, preferably in both law firm and in-house settings.

  • Strong understanding of Brazilian administrative law, constitutional principles, regulatory frameworks, and judicial precedents.

  • Experience managing complex regulatory proceedings, government relations, administrative litigation, and oversight by regulatory agencies.

  • Excellent judgment and ability to balance legal, institutional, and reputational risks with strategic business and policy needs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across functions and interact with government authorities.

  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple regulatory and litigation priorities, and operate effectively in a matrixed, multicultural organization.

  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to ethics, compliance, and building trust with regulators and stakeholders.

  • We believe in Diversity and Inclusion – Diversity is one of our biggest strengths. Our differences are what makes us distinct. We respect each other and believe in equal opportunities for all.
Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is not a future vision or a wish for something we want someday; it is a non-negotiable value of who we are today.

We embrace inclusion, plurality, and respect, and to achieve this, we rely on the governance of the Diversity Committee, which works alongside HR, our leadership, and identity groups—99Adapta, 99Afro, 99Colors, 99Womem, and 99Familys.

This is our ongoing journey, with much more still to come.

We reinforce that this position is open to everyone, including pregnant people and people with disabilities (PwD).
