Team Overview

You will become part of the Government Affairs team, providing strategic inputs and executing advocacy efforts with a wide range of stakeholders at State level to protect and expand DiDi’s operations in Mexico, from a data-driven, collaborative approach.

Role Responsibilities


  • Based in Guadalajara, your primary goal is to contribute to the consolidation of DiDi’s presence in Mexico, at State levels and covering both ridehailing and food delivery products.

  • Develop DiDi's Government Affairs high-level engagement strategy with key stakeholders, including governments, the industry, business chambers, civil society organizations, and specialists in several States.

  • Liaise with the government and other key decision-makers, in the pursuit for innovative transportation and mobility solutions from a win-win perspective.

  • Permanently monitor, analyze and prevent risks of the regulatory framework in Mexico, with the aim of advocating for the best practices on ride-hailing, food delivery and all other topics within DiDi’s scope.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Government Affairs strategy, including stakeholder mappings, engagement plans and advocacy strategies.

  • Generate and coordinate State-level special projects, with a focus on generating engagement with key stakeholders and social impact. 

  • Liaise with different business chambers to boost the company’s presence and networks. 

  • Be able to work under pressure, changing agendas and strict deadlines. 

Role Qualifications


  • A passion for technology and improving mobility in Mexico.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law is widely preferred.

  • Master’s degree preferred. 

  • 9+ years’ experience in public affairs in government, or the private sector. 

  • Solid experience in engaging high-level policy, business, and international stakeholders. 

  • In-depth knowledge of the Mexican political system.

  • Highly proficient in both Spanish and English is essential.

  • Independent thinking and ability to work under pressure.

  • Hands-on approach and ability to prioritize tasks at different levels.  

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability for teamwork and organizing action plans across several teams. 

  • Availability for travelling.
