Team Overview

As a member of the 99 Food Regional Operations team, you will contribute to top-level global initiatives and drive strategic projects within your region. Your mission is to generate actionable insights, solve complex operational challenges, and improve regional business performance for 99 Food Service, looking into merchants’ quantity, activeness, order output, and service quality.

Role Responsibilities


  • Selection Growth: Analyze the merchant sign-up, onboarding, and activation funnel. Identify opportunities in merchant types, geographic distribution, cuisine categories, and other areas. Guide BD teams to efficiently acquire valuable merchants, allocate resources to ensure successful cold starts, and drive prosperity in the supply pool.

  • Supply Quality Improvement: Optimize material allocation and onboarding processes to ensure high-quality consumer-facing representation both online and offline. Analyze experience data to derive insights, collaborate with BD teams to identify root causes, and develop control strategies to ensure high-quality merchant operations on the platform.

  • Top Supply Attack and Defense: Develop negotiation and budget strategies to target and secure core urban supply by breaking exclusive deals and establishing new ones. Closely monitor competitor activities, provide targeted support to high-impact brands, and intervene early with at-risk merchants.

  • Merchant Ecosystem: Develop price benchmarking strategies and merchant marketing strategies to maintain competitive pricing advantages while leveraging merchant subsidies. Formulate traffic support strategies to ensure the healthy development of the merchant ecosystem.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with key partners such as sales teams, mid-platform business-side operations, product teams, and rider-side operations to ensure the smooth progress and successful implementation of the above key projects.

Role Qualifications


  •          Educational background: Engineering, Business Administration or related fields is preferred

  •          Experience on data-based decision-making, exercising good judgment in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team.

  •          Strong Excel & Power Point skills, proficient in SQL or Python is highly preferred

  •          Clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly and highlight the key insights

  •          Proven problem-solving skills

  •          Excellent organization and time management systems for yourself and your stakeholders

  •          Language: proficient in English, proficiency in Chinese is a huge plus
