Team Overview

Support the electronic payments team to ensure that products, technology infrastructure, and processes related to the SPEI/RCN network comply with current regulations, network rules, and operational control standards. Serve as a liaison between Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance/Regulatory teams, providing guidance on technology, process design, and compliance integration.

Role Responsibilities


  • Participating  in the review of new products or modifications (payment channels, APIs, wallets) with a focus on compliance, SPEI/RCN network rules, and technology integration

  • Collaborating with IT/Product/Operations teams to ensure payment systems (SPEI/RCN integrations) have proper monitoring, traceability, logging, alerts, and IT controls in place

  • Monitoring daily payment flows related to the SPEI/RCN network, including reconciliations, reports, operational incidents, and potential compliance breaches

  • Identifying compliance, operational, and technological risks related to the payments network and propose mitigation strategies

  • Staying updated on Mexican regulations applicable to electronic payments, SPEI, or similar networks, and translate these requirements into internal policies, procedures, and IT controls

  • Supporting internal and regulatory audits, and participating in the implementation of corrective actions as needed

  • Providing IT advisory support for product and operational teams, including guidance on system architecture, data management, integration, automation, and best practices for secure compliant payment operations

  • Advising and collaborating on technology- related compliance topics, including system upgrades, cybersecurity, and monitoring/ reporting tools


 

Role Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Telecommunications), Business, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, payments operations, payment technology infrastructure, or fintech, ideally with exposure to the Mexican payments network (SPEI/RCN)

  • Solid knowledge of payment platforms, APIs, real-time transaction monitoring, and IT system controls

  • Strong understanding of Mexican regulations for electronic payments, payment networks, and fintech operations

  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication for collaboration across technology, product, and compliance teams

  • English: higher preferred
