Team Overview

We are seeking a Senior Expert or Sub-Region Leader to drive the strategic direction and operational execution for a significant geographical area, such as a country or a cluster of major cities. This role is responsible for multiple complex function modules.

The Senior Manager operates with a holistic view of the market, combining deep expertise with a macro understanding of competitors, regulatory landscapes, and industry trends. You will independently initiate, plan, and lead core projects or multiple complex projects across teams, while also being responsible for building and managing a professional team to execute your function module strategies. Your insights will directly inform and verify the effectiveness of our overall business strategy.

Role Responsibilities

You will serve as the strategic leader and functional expert, driving significant business impact across a major region. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Oversight

  • Develop function module strategies for the cities or country under your charge, independently initiating and planning complex, cross-functional projects.

  • Maintain a macro view of the market (e.g., country-level) including competitors, macroeconomics, regulation, and technology trends, and translate these insights into actionable strategies.

  • Deeply understand the strategic intent behind company objectives and effectively explain this context to your teams.

  • Proactively think about core business issues and solutions within the industry context, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Advanced Data & Metric Systems

  • Integrate complex data and information (business targets, industry data, operational metrics) to generate in-depth insights that drive the design of effective strategies.

  • Establish or improve the whole function's operation metric system and framework based on the organization's strategic objectives.

  • Consolidate data and information to verify the effectiveness of strategies after deployment.

  • Project & Resource Management

  • Independently take responsibility for and operate multiple core business projects, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.

  • Efficiently coordinate projects by factoring in product, cost, and technology constraints, and make progress across complex dependencies.

  • Formulate plans and allocate resources (budget, talent) to solve problems, leveraging relevant internal and external resources to ensure high-standard project outcomes.

  • People Leadership & Organizational Design

  • Build and manage a professional team within the functional area.

  • Design an efficient organizational structure or feature team with minimal operating frictions.

  • Provide tailored coaching to develop team members' professional capabilities and work closely with them on Individual Development Plans (IDPs).

  • Create a HIPO talent pool at the Manager and below level and foster cross-function talent movements.

  • Influence & Collaboration

  • Effectively manage multiple senior-level stakeholders and senior leadership to clearly communicate and influence their expectations, goals, and decisions.

  • Demonstrate strong storytelling and presentation capability to make others interested and engaged, and help teams structure effective materials.

  • Host and initiate larger meetings and workshops, leading full discussions to effectively drive conclusions and clear action items (To-Dos).

  • Think about the big picture and seek opportunities to collaborate across different areas to achieve broader business objectives beyond a single function.

  • Build information transfer channels and facilitate communications among teams to bridge organizational collaboration gaps.

  • Share knowledge and know-how in your area of expertise to guide the team.

Role Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, or a related field, with 3+ years in a leadership role responsible for multiple functions or a major geographical market.

  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex projects or core business initiatives across cross-functional teams.

  • Proven ability to build, manage, and develop a professional team, including organizational design and talent development.

  • Profound understanding and application of macro market factors (competitors, regulation, economics) to inform country or region-level strategy.

  • Expertise in establishing and improving function-wide operational metric systems and frameworks.

  • Proven track record of managing and influencing senior-level stakeholders (VP+ level).

  • MBA or a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

  • Experience in a hyper-growth or platform-based technology company with international operations.

  • Deep knowledge of the logic, rules, and principles behind multiple professional domains (e.g., supply, demand, pricing, marketing).

  • Demonstrated ability to design complex strategies based on cost/benefit analysis and data-driven insights.

  • Advanced skills in strategic storytelling and executive communication, capable of making presentations engaging and attractive to a senior audience.
