Team Overview

We are seeking an expert and key contributor to oversee a critical function module across a designated set of cities (e.g., specific metropolitan or regional markets). This position demands a strategic thinker who is ready to develop and lead strategies, allocating resources (including budget), and crafting plans to achieve module goals with a sharp focus on optimal ROI.

As the expert in your area, you will not only provide professional guidance to your team but also independently think through and solve complex problems in your domain, delivering strategic resolutions and inputs that directly shape the broader business strategy. You will initiate and lead cross-functional projects or manage a small team, acting as a crucial link between execution and high-level corporate objectives.

Role Responsibilities

You will serve as the functional leader, driving strategy, managing execution across a region, and developing people. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Strategy, Leadership & Business Vision

  • Be the expert in your area of responsibility, providing professional guidance and serving as the definitive voice for your module.

  • Develop strategies for your own module, allocate resources (e.g., budgets), and craft detailed plans to achieve module goals, focusing on maximum ROI.

  • Deconstruct company-wide objectives and independently design a strategic plan for the function module or the cities within your scope.

  • Lead and run cross-functional projects or manage a small team (<=3 people).

  • Provide resolution and input to business strategy independently, solving complex professional problems through strategic thought.

  • Advanced Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Master systematic and in-depth data analysis methods and tools.

  • Independently conduct analysis of complex, unstructured problems, disassembling them to structure the methodology and select suitable tools to generate business-guiding insights.

  • Design analysis frameworks and methodologies to standardize and enable junior team members' work.

  • Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Independently undertake core business project operations, ensuring a clear link between project execution and overall business objectives.

  • Factor in variables that could impact the project, planning for preventive or mitigation measures, and leveraging/optimizing given and limited resources.

  • Manage cross-function alignment with multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Effectively communicate with and manage multiple stakeholders, influencing expectations, goals, and decisions at the senior levels of the organization.

  • People Management & Development

  • Efficiently allocate work to team members and establish a fluent daily operation mechanism for your team (official or feature team).

  • Provide direct coaching and advice on growth and professional development to your team members.

  • Actively work to help team members grow their experience and improve their professional capabilities to drive superior business results.

  • Communication & Collaboration

  • Demonstrate strong storytelling and presentation skills, capable of communicating and reporting key findings and proposals at a regional or higher level.

  • Write well-structured, easy-to-read reports that effectively communicate key messages to diverse audiences.

  • Host or initiate small-scale workshops and discussions, effectively driving conclusions and clear action items (To-Dos).

  • Put yourself in someone's shoes when solving problems, effectively taking into account the needs and constraints of other departments.

  • Manage conflict by adopting different approaches to minimize its impact on inter-team collaboration.

Role Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Strategy, or a related analytical/managerial role, with a progression in responsibility.

  • Proven experience as an expert in a specific functional domain, providing professional guidance and independently solving complex business problems.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and running cross-functional projects or managing a small team (3 or more direct reports/feature team members).

  • Mastery of systematic and in-depth data analysis methods and tools, including advanced proficiency in SQL and familiarity with structuring complex problem methodologies.

  • Experience in budget allocation and crafting strategic plans to achieve module or city-level goals with a focus on ROI.

  • Ability to communicate and report at a regional or higher level, demonstrating strong storytelling and executive presentation skills.

  • MBA or a Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Data Science, Economics, Business Analytics).

  • Experience designing analysis frameworks and mentoring junior analysts.

  • Deep understanding of the company's business model, including how various functional activities interact, and a focus on the user lifecycle and pain points.

  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior-level stakeholders, driving alignment and decision-making across complex organizational structures.

  • Experience with advanced programming languages for analysis (e.g., Python, R) and business intelligence tools.
