Team Overview

The Credit Risk Management team works closely with various stakeholders across Didi Group—including Business, Finance, Legal, and IT teams—to mitigate the Group’s credit risk exposure, particularly in its overseas B2B segments such as mobility and food delivery, among others.

The Team oversees the end-to-end OTC (Order to Cash) process for Didi’s international operations. Responsibilities span the entire credit lifecycle, covering credit risk assessment, payment terms assignment, billing inquiries, overdue account management, amicable collection efforts, bad debt accruals, and write-offs.

We are looking for an exceptional Credit Control Manager to be based in our São Paulo office. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for conducting credit assessments and mitigating credit risk, maintaining credit control and accounts receivable management systems, and achieving bad debt rate targets, among other duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting credit management decisions and will serve as a strategic business partner to balance credit risk and business growth, working under the guidance of HQ.

Role Responsibilities

  • Strategic Credit Governance: Formulate and execute regional (LATAM) and global credit control strategies. Implement global credit policies at the regional level, customizing processes to align with LATAM-specific regulations and risk landscapes. Oversee end-to-end credit risk governance and operational management.

  • Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough and timely credit reviews for applications, balancing business enablement with risk mitigation. Proactively monitor the portfolio to identify, anticipate, and mitigate potential risks. Perform enhanced due diligence, including on-site visits for high-risk clients, and escalate issues to key stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership & Operational Excellence: Lead and develop a team of credit and collection specialists in LATAM. Drive the team towards achieving regional bad debt rate KPIs and clear performance goals. Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining workflows and facilitating training on new systems and tools.

  • Business Partnership & Communication: Serve as a key liaison between Business, Operations, and Finance teams, providing actionable insights for process improvement. Prepare and deliver regular credit reports. Actively manage key agency and client relationships through face-to-face meetings. Respond adeptly to emergencies and adapt priorities to deliver on ad-hoc projects and global initiatives.

Role Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 6 years of corporate credit risk management experience, preferably within the mobility, delivery, or related sectors.

  • Ability to work effectively in a global, English-speaking environment.

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage confidential information with integrity.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Credit risk management background in a large, fast-paced technology company.

  • Prior experience in a people management role.
