Team Overview

The Senior Tax Manager – Argentina will provide end-to-end tax support for DiDi, ensuring compliance with complex and rapidly changing regulations (including those applicable to ride-hailing and digital platforms), and enable new city launches through proactive tax structuring. This role is critical to ensuring business continuity, regulatory compliance, and scalable growth in a highly regulated environment.

Role Responsibilities


  • Monitor and interpret ride-hailing, platform economy, and digital services regulations.

  • Partner with Legal, Public Policy, and Government Relations on regulatory strategies, licensing models, and enforcement actions.

  • Support intercompany structuring, agreements, and cross-border transactions.

  • Prepare tax and compliance workstreams for new city launches, including tax registrations and indirect tax setup.

  • Assess tax feasibility and regulatory readiness for market expansions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all national, provincial, and municipal taxes (VAT, income tax, turnover taxes, withholdings, employer obligations).

  • Oversee tax filings, payments, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.

  • Coordinate external advisors and internal accounting teams.

  • Manage tax audits and interactions with tax authorities.

  • Strengthen tax governance, internal controls, and documentation.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Legal, Operations, Expansion, and Product teams.

Role Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law, Economics, or a related field is mandatory. Postgraduate degree or Master’s in Tax is strongly preferred.

  • 8–12+ years of proven professional experience as a tax specialist/expert, in multinational companies or Big 4.

  • Demonstrated expert-level knowledge of the Argentine tax system, including national, provincial, and municipal taxation.

  • Strong experience in cross-border taxation, permanent establishment analysis, transfer pricing concepts, and profit repatriation.

  • Hands-on leadership of complex tax audits, inspections, and regulatory proceedings with tax authorities.

  • Proven experience advising on digital economy, ride-hailing, platform, fintech, or tech-based business models is highly desirable.

  • Advanced Spanish and professional-level English for direct interaction with regional and global stakeholders.
