Company Overview

If you see technology as a way to smooth your path in life, our team does too: Your Path, Our Journey.

We believe in technology that connects talented people who embrace diversity to create and share paths we don't even know about (yet!). We work to generate value not only for our users but, above all, for the communities we serve and for society as a whole, making every day better for everyone with mobility and delivery services (99) or digital payments (99Pay).

To make life easier for millions of people every day, since 2018, we have been part of DiDi DiDi Global Inc., the world’s leading mobility technology platform. We are pioneers in creating innovative solutions that start in Brazil and scale up to make a positive impact in more than 12 countries where DiDi operates. This innovation encompasses sustainability, safety, artificial intelligence, financial markets, and much more.

Whether building projects from scratch or improving our solutions, we enjoy challenges that give us butterflies, which is why we work at a fast pace with respect, collaboration, and good humor. Along this journey, we also draw strength from diverse experiences and opinions to grow together, fail quickly, learn, and adjust the course to create solutions that deliver even better results.

Team Overview

As a Pricing Analytics professional at DiDi, you will design, test, and optimize dynamic pricing strategies that maximize revenue, fill ride supply-demand gaps, and improve rider and driver retention across large, real-time mobility markets; your work will directly influence monthly revenue growth and platform utilization metrics.

You will join the Logistics Pricing Team, whose mission is to ensure efficient market clearing by combining econometric modeling, causal inference, and scalable experimentation to deliver fair, competitive, and profitable pricing across DiDi’s multi-product ecosystem.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced pricing models and algorithms that increase take-rate revenue by optimizing fares and incentives across regions and products, measured by lift in gross merchandise value (GMV) and margin improvement.

  • Lead A/B and multi-armed experiments for pricing features, analyze causal impacts on supply, demand, and retention, and translate results into product changes with quantified KPIs such as trip completion rate and driver earnings stability.

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and monitoring dashboards to track real-time price elasticity, surge events, and marketplace health, reducing pricing-related incidents and response time.

  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Regional Market teams to translate local market signals and competition movements into implementable pricing strategies that drive monthly active users (MAU) and driver availability.

  • Provide actionable pricing playbooks and automated decision rules used by regional teams to react quickly to demand volatility, aiming to reduce manual interventions and improve time-to-market for pricing changes

Role Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is preferred; equivalent practical experience in marketplace pricing is acceptable.

  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in pricing analytics, revenue management, or marketplace economics at a technology platform or high-frequency retail/transportation business, with measurable impact on revenue or utilization metrics.

  • Strong statistical and causal inference skills, including experience with uplift modeling, difference-in-differences, instrumental variables, or Bayesian methods applied to pricing problems.

  • Proficiency in SQL for large-scale data extraction, Python/R for modeling, and experience with machine learning frameworks and time-series forecasting relevant to demand and elasticity estimation.

  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms, A/B testing design, and sample size/power calculations to run robust pricing experiments in live environments.

  • Experience building production-ready pricing systems or decision rules, including knowledge of APIs, feature stores, or real-time scoring pipelines, to ensure models are operationalized at DiDi scale.

  • Strong business acumen and communication skills to translate complex quantitative results into clear pricing recommendations

  • A bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and a collaborative mindset to work across product, engineering, operations, and policy teams in fast-moving, large-scale markets.

  • Professional profiency level in English

Diversity & Inclusion

Diversity is not a future vision or a wish for something we want someday; it is a non-negotiable value of who we are today.

We embrace inclusion, plurality, and respect, and to achieve this, we rely on the governance of the Diversity Committee, which works alongside HR, our leadership, and identity groups—99Adapta, 99Afro, 99Colors, 99Womem, and 99Familys.

This is our ongoing journey, with much more still to come.

We reinforce that this position is open to everyone, including pregnant people and people with disabilities (PwD).
