#LI-HybridLitigation Counsel
The role will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to DiDi Mexico team particularly in litigation matters. This position will play a key role for all DiDi Mexico, business lines, including Mobility, Delivery and Financial Services, by means of designing and coordinating litigation solutions on a variety of topics, such as constitutional, consumer protection, commercial, civil, criminal, labor, tax and administrative issues, among others. You will be based in Mexico City and will report to the Regulatory and Litigation Lead Counsel.
The main responsibilities of the role will be:
· Serve as the litigation leader for all DiDi’s business lines, working closely with local leaders and teams to achieve business goals;
· Act as main point of contact and provide sound legal advice, support and work particularly on complex litigation, labor, tax and regulatory matters, affecting ride-hailing, delivery, and financial services;
· Work in collaboration with Government Affairs teams to influence and shape the legal framework applicable to DiDi’s lines of business;
· Coordinate, track and manage any kind of claims in collaboration with internal stakeholders, and supervise outside counsels and other legal providers, as well represent the company in labor disputes, conciliation, or litigation, and
· Work in collaboration with the Latam Legal team and DiDi’s Legal HQ team to identify legal risks in connection to DiDi’s business and develop strategies to mitigate them.
· 7 years of legal experience, strong background on litigation;
· Great academic credentials and law degree from a Mexican university;
· Sound business and legal judgment;
· Entrepreneurial profile and mindset: flexibility, resilience, self-motivated, self-starting and hard-working, innovative thinking;
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work collaboratively with high performance teams and different leaders;
· Strong communication skills, and
· Fluency in English.
