Team Overview

Are you a data-driven analyst with a sharp eye for funnel behavior and a passion for turning new users into loyal customers? As an Acquisition Analyst at DiDi Food, you'll be the analytical engine of the Acquisition pod — the team responsible for bringing new users from their first app install to their first completed order across Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Costa Rica.

You'll work directly with the Acquisition Manager and the Activation Lead, owning the install-to-first-order funnel, designing and reading A/B tests that improve conversion, and managing CRM campaign briefs for acquisition-stage users. Your work sits at the highest-volume part of the lifecycle funnel

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a team that moves fast, tests constantly, and expects its analysts to bring the diagnosis — not just the data.

Role Responsibilities

  • Owning the O0→O1 conversion funnel: diagnosing drop-off by channel, cohort, city tier, and device — and identifying the highest-leverage opportunities to improve install-to-first-order conversion

  • Maintaining the weekly acquisition funnel dashboard: install volume, O1 conversion rate, cost per first order, and acquisition quality by channel and cohort

  • Designing and reading A/B tests for the acquisition stage — incentive structure, onboarding flow variants, first-order discount logic — ensuring clean segmentation and logging all results in the team test registry

  • Producing acquisition quality cohort reports: analyzing whether users from channel X retain at higher rates than channel Y, and feeding that insight directly to the Activation Lead

  • Supporting the Activation Lead with O1–O4 data pulls and cohort slices when acquisition quality is a potential driver of activation underperformance

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including CRM, Performance Marketing, and Supply — and translating multi-source data into clear, actionable recommendations for the Acquisition Manager

Role Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Proficiency in SQL — comfortable writing multi-table queries, funnel calculations, and cohort analyses independently

  • Experience in funnel analysis and conversion rate diagnosis — you don't just report where users drop off, you build hypotheses for why (desirable)

  • Strong analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving — you diagnose before you act

  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate data into clear, actionable insights for a non-technical audience

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Nice-to-Haves:

  • 1–3 years in growth analytics, performance marketing analytics, or lifecycle/CRM analytics in a tech or consumer app environment

  • Experience in food delivery, ride-hailing, e-commerce, or a high-frequency consumer platform

  • Familiarity with A/B test design — segmentation, sample sizing, interpreting results

  • Python or R for cohort modeling or campaign analysis

  • Experience with paid acquisition channels (Meta, Google UAC, Apple Search Ads) from an analytics perspective

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
