Team Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and tech-savvy Accountant to join our team at a growing SOFIPO (Popular Financial Institution). Your primary responsibility will be to optimize and automate the management of financial information, build efficient databases, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements reconciliations and accounting regulatory reports. You will be a key support to the accounting management team, freeing up their time from operational tasks so that, together, you can implement new accounting guidelines and financial products such as credit cards and personal loans

Role Responsibilities


  • Data Management: Design, populate, and clean complex databases for the mass processing of financial information.

  • Reconciliation and Comparison: Perform cross-checks, reconciliations, and thorough comparisons of financial statements to ensure their integrity.

  • Technology Solutions: Identify and implement tools or macros that automate repetitive tasks and optimize closing and reporting times.

  • Regulatory Support: Collaborate in the extraction and preparation of information required for regulatory compliance with the CNBV (National Banking and Securities Commission).

  • Agile Analysis: Work in conjunction with accounting leadership to model financial scenarios, adapting rapidly to new business requirements.

Role Qualifications

Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting or Financing (Completed or Graduated).


Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in the accounting department of entities regulated by the CNBV (SOFIPOs, Banks, SOFOMEs, Credit Unions) or auditing those.


Languages: Intermediate-advanced level of English


• Technological Tools: Expert proficiency in Excel (Power Query, macros, advanced pivot tables)


 


Desired additional skills:


Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) or programming languages ​​for data analysis (Python/R) will be considered a plus.


Strong logical reasoning and mental agility.


Technological curiosity: ease and willingness to learn new software independently.


Proactivity: not only executes tasks but also seeks the most efficient and automated way to do so.
