Team Overview

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Management (The Core)

  • Balance Supply & Demand: Oversee marketplace liquidity, ensuring that riders get a car quickly (low ETA) while drivers stay busy and profitable.

  • Pricing & Incentives: Design and execute high-impact incentive structures for drivers and promotion strategies for riders to maximize ROI.

  • Algorithm Optimization: Partner with global product teams to localized dispatching logic and dynamic pricing for the ANZ market.

2. Demand Growth (Rider Side)

  • User Acquisition & Retention: Drive rider growth through data-backed marketing campaigns and loyalty programs.

  • Product Experience: Monitor the end-to-end rider journey, identifying friction points and implementing service improvements to increase NPS (Net Promoter Score).

3. Supply Strategy (Driver Side)

  • Onboarding & Lifecycle: Lead the strategy for driver acquisition and engagement, minimizing churn and building long-term loyalty.

  • Driver Advocacy: Act as the voice of the driver-partner, ensuring our platform provides fair earnings and a supportive environment.

4. P&L & Operational Excellence

  • Financial Performance: Own the operational budget and P&L. You are responsible for cost-to-serve and finding the "sweet spot" between growth and profitability.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations meet (and exceed) ANZ regulatory standards and safety protocols—upholding our license to operate.

Role Responsibilities

  • The "Generalist" Specialist: 8+ years of experience in high-growth tech, operations, or strategy consulting. You can zoom out for strategy and zoom in for execution.

  • Data-Obsessed: You live in the numbers. Proficiency in SQL and advanced data modeling is highly preferred. You don't just see data; you see stories and solutions.

  • Marketplace Intuition: You understand the "tug-of-war" between supply and demand and know how to use levers (pricing, incentives, marketing) to win.

  • Resilient Leader: You thrive in a high-pressure, 24/7 environment. You can lead a team through complex competitive shifts with a calm, decisive hand.

  • ANZ Market Savvy: Deep understanding of the local transport landscape, gig-economy regulations, and consumer behavior in Australia and NZ.

Role Qualifications

Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in Operations, Strategy, or Management Consulting. Experience in a fast-paced tech company (Ride-hailing, Delivery, or Logistics) is a huge plus.

  • Data-Driven: You are a "data person." You must be highly proficient in Excel and SQL. You can turn complex numbers into clear action plans.

  • Marketplace Logic: You understand how supply and demand work together. You know how to use pricing and incentives to grow a business.

  • Leadership: Proven experience managing a team and working with senior stakeholders (including Global HQ).

  • P&L Ownership: Comfortable managing budgets and being responsible for the financial health of the business.

  • Hands-on Mindset: You are a strategic thinker but aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and solve problems on the ground.

  • Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Australian/NZ market and local regulations.
