#LI-HybridThe Head of DiDi studios will lead DiDi’s In-House Creative Agency, responsible for developing and delivering all marketing campaigns and design work across the app and multiple external channels. This role oversees a multidisciplinary team of 20+ creatives and designers distributed across different countries and manages relationships with external creative agencies and partners.
This leader is expected to operate at the intersection of business strategy and creativity, translating business needs, user insights, and growth priorities into impactful creative solutions at scale.
Creative & Strategic Leadership
Own the creative vision and output for DiDi’s marketing campaigns and brand experiences across all businesses and channels.
Lead the team into translating business objectives, growth priorities, and user insights into strong creative territories, concepts, and executions.
Act as a strategic partner to marketing ensuring creativity serves clear brand and business outcomes.
Elevate the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of creative work across markets.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse in-house team of creatives across multiple countries.
Build a high-performance, collaborative culture with clear standards for quality, speed, and accountability.
Set clear priorities, processes, and ways of working to enable efficient execution at scale.
Coach and grow creative leaders within the team, ensuring long-term capability building.
In-House Agency Operations and external agency management
Define and continuously evolve the operating model of DiDi studios, balancing speed, quality, and scalability and finding the right partners to compliment required capabilities.
Ensure strong collaboration with DiDi Studios, marketing teams, and other internal stakeholders.
Manage external creative agencies and production partners when needed.
Ensure external partners complement internal capabilities and meet DiDi’s creative and business standards.
Own the creative output, integration, and performance of all external collaborations.
Creative Excellence & Innovation
Continuously raise the creative bar, pushing for bold, effective, and culturally relevant ideas.
Stay up to date with creative, design, and technology trends to evolve DiDi’s creative capabilities.
Promote a test-and-learn mindset, using insights and performance data to refine creative work.
10+ years of experience in creative leadership roles within agencies, in-house studios, or a combination of both.
Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary creative teams in regional environments.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect business needs to creative opportunities.
Experience managing external agencies and complex creative ecosystems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments is a strong plus.
Creative work consistently drives business impact and user value.
The in-house agency operates as a trusted strategic partner to the business.
